RALPH
CINDRICH

Agent

Cindrich continues to pull a lot of strings in the player movement game that has seized the NFL.

He has negotiated more than $120 million worth of contracts in the first two years of free agency. Cindrich is an agent who is concerned about players' financial awareness and careers after football. He twice has surveyed college seniors on their attitudes toward and perceptions of the economic side of the NFL.

Saturday will stay with Colts

Jeff Saturday hoped to continue his NFL career in Indianapolis.

Thursday, the Colts gave him 5 million reasons why a relocation wasn't in
his best interest.

With the clock ticking toward a midnight deadline that would send Saturday and several Colts into the NFL's veteran free agent market, the team signed its starting center to a six-year contract worth about $19 million and includes a $5 million signing bonus.

Saturday resides in Indianapolis with his wife, Karen, and two children. As
soon as he was informed by his agent, Ralph Cindrich, that an agreement had been reached, he drove to the Colts' West 56th Street complex to make it official with his signature.

"I was pumped, believe me," Saturday said. "My wife and I decided this is
where we wanted to be. We really like it here.

"I had talked with (coach) Tony (Dungy), and he told me he hoped something would get worked out. They wanted to make it work and I wanted to make it work. I can't tell you how happy I am."

Saturday, 27, joined the Colts in 1999 as a free agent after being out of
the NFL the previous season. He has started 48 consecutive regular-season games.
